This is why I like Rugby more than American Football… No pads! And fighting lions!!
Of course I am going to reblog this! I have this photo (I clipped from a magazine) hanging in my house.

Did another warm up drawing this morning. I didn’t have a set idea when I started, but I liked the sketch and took it to finish. This thing had so many iterations, it was cool to keep pushing it and pushing it, in both design and color, trying to make it better. I haven’t felt this good while creating a piece of art for a long while, this felt like fun rather than a chore.
“Goodbye Dear Old Stepstone” - Bonnie Prince Billy. Very different from the Tallest Man on Earth cover, and I think I might like this one more, it has more melancholy to it, feels like someone looking with a longing eye to the past where as the TMoE version feels like a man looking excitedly to the future.
Goodbye Dear Old Stepstone - Tallest Man on Earth. Wow. What a beautiful cover of an old folk song. I think it’s beautifully shot as well.
I did another Namor last night (or this morning) as a warm up. I tried to push him up in the frame so it would be a little more dynamic. I also wanted to play with spotting some blacks which I normally don’t do, also tried to keep it loose.. I think I will do more Namors, and next time I will for sure have full feet, not just a heel and a wing.
Decided to draw a Namor for a warm up today. I am not an exciting sketch guy. What I mean is, when I have to draw a storyboard/comic, I can come up with good poses/shots… when I am just sketching/illustrating, I just draw characters standing there. That said, I wanted to try to give Namor a lean/longer body than I am used to drawing. Next time I really want to draw a pose that shows his ankles so I can draw those little wings.
Addicted to this song. Can’t stop listening!!
REVOLUTION! This is one of the best scenes from “Duck You Sucker” (aka:Fistful of Dynamite). So powerful and true. “What has happen to the poor people? They’re dead!”
